The Tor:

Goddesses will meet at the hotel at 9:30am and Walk the Tor. The Tor a symbol of the Mother and is our first stop. The Tor is a place where the veil is thin between the worlds. The Tor was an Islet for centuries, as the floodwaters took a long time to recede. The Tor was called the Island of Glass connected to the mainland by only a narrow strip of land at low tide. This is considered a very sacred Goddess site and powerful spirit place. The site is associated with the Goddess, Fairies, Nature Spirits and ET’s. The Tor is also considered to be King Arthurs legendary Kingdom of Camelot.

Chalice Well:

The Chalice Well is one of Britains most ancient wells, nestled between The Tor and Chalice Hill. At 12:30 our Priestess will lead you through the beautiful gardens and orchards. A living sanctuary, Goddesses can experience the quiet healing of this sacred place. For over 2,000 years people have gathered from around the world to drink the water to find solace, peace and inspiration. TBA during the trip Donna will provide information about Spiritual Bathing: The Healing Rituals and Traditions. You may collect Chalice water to drink or for your spiritual bathing practice.

Lunch:

Suggestions and a list of local restaurant will be provided and Goddesses can eat wherever they choose. Of course it is more fun to eat together.

At sunrise a private ceremony will be conducted by Priestess of Avalon Georgina Sirett-Hardie. Stonehenge is one of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. Stonehenge is built at the precise point where six ley lines intersect. These lines are believed by many to have magnetic and spiritual power. Stonehenge still functions as an accurate celestial calendar.

Avebury Stone Circle:

Meet with Priestess of Avalon and Temple Artist, Caroline Gully for a guided walk and ceremony in Avebury. Avebury is consider to be older than Stonehenge and much larger. You are free to wonder among 100 stones, ditches, mounds and curious patterns. Friends from Glastonbury tell me Avebury it very magical and energetically vibrant. A visit to Avebury is a very personal and spiritual event. Crops circles can be spotted nearby.

West Kennet Long Barrow:

This mound one of many prehistoric monuments that are part of the Avebury complex of Neolithic sites. It is one of the most impressive and well preserved burial chambers in Britian. It lines ups with the rising sun on the summer solstice. Folklore and Legend: The mound is traditionally visited by a white spectral figure accompanied by a white red-eared hound at sunrise on midsummer’s day. There is a slim possibility that this tradition is a folk memory of a ritual event or at least a time thought to have been significant in the use of the barrow.
